McHugh finishes seventh, next Wednesday

Sevastopol Pioneers alum Max McHugh will have to wait until Wednesday and Thursday for his next chance to qualify for the Olympics.

McHugh swam a time of 1:00.56 in the final of the 100-yard breaststroke, which was tied for seventh in the eight-man race. He needed to finish in the top 2 to qualify for the team heading to Tokyo later this year.  Michael Andrew and Andrew Wilson qualified for the team with times under 58.75.

McHugh will swim again Wednesday in the 200-yard breaststroke preliminaries.
