If a peninsula team is able to make the state softball tournament next weekend, fans won’t have far to travel. It was announced Monday that University of Wisconsin - Green Bay’s recently-constructed King Park is the host for the 2021 WIAA State Softball Tournament. The tournament goes from June 28th to June 30th. The event will feature five state title games.
It is anticipated that each day of the tournament will draw over 500 fans. According to the UWGB website, the ballpark is equipped with full synthetic turf, LED lights, a bullpen, and a state of the art sound system.
