Brewers win thriller; Area teams fall

The Milwaukee Brewers box score had unique similarities the last two nights, while the Green Bay Booyah and Wisconsin Timber-Rattlers have each lost consecutive games.

Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies each tied for eleven hits, but what mattered most was the one-run difference in the final score. Milwaukee won the game 6-5, just one day after losing to the Rockies by the same score in ten innings. Each team also scored two in the first inning. Colorado did lead the game for a good portion, going up 3-2 in the second inning before Milwaukee tied it back up in the third. After five innings however, Colorado led 5-3. Milwaukee cut down the lead with a run in the top of the seventh and a two-run home run by Willy Adames in the top of the ninth that scored Luis Urias. That was the deciding factor in the victory, as the Rockies did not score in the final frame. The Brewers have another road game with Colorado on Sunday starting at 2:10 PM.

Green Bay Booyah

The Green Bay Booyah exchanged a run in both the seventh and eighth inning with the Kokomo Jackrabbits on Saturday. The only difference was Kokomo’s run in the bottom of the third inning. That was the deciding factor in the 3-2 loss for the Booyah. Green Bay will instantly have a chance to get back at the Jackrabbits as they play each other on Sunday with the first pitch being thrown at 2:00 PM.

Wisconsin Timber-Rattlers

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are now five games below the .500 mark, but were 18-18 coming into their six game series with the Quad Cities River Bandits. The Rattlers have now lost in Davenport to the River Bandits for the fifth straight night. Wisconsin will wrap up the series on Sunday with the game starting at 1:00 PM. Afterward, the Rattlers will get a needed day off before a six-game series with Peoria.
