Algoma, Gibraltar, and Sevastopol are on deck for the first of three days of state track meet action in LaCrosse this weekend.

In the Division 3 state meet on Thursday, Algoma's Bobbi Blahnik will continue the family tradition in the second flight of the discus and shot put competitions. Gibraltar's Abbey Fitzgerald will compete against the state's best in the second flight of the long jump and the triple jump. The sectional champion Sevastopol Pioneers girls' team will have several members of its team competing on Thursday. That includes Bea Dramm in the 1600m finals, the 4x100m, 4x200m, and 4x400m relays in section two of the finals, Olivia Stenzel in the second section of the 400m finals and 800m finals, Laci Lautenbach in the high jump, and Zoe Kuehn in the first flight of the triple jump.  Spencer Evenson will also be competing for the Pioneers in the second section of the 400m finals.

The first events begin at 11 a.m. The state meet for Division 2, which will feature Sturgeon Bay, Kewaunee, Luxemburg-Casco, and Southern Door, will take place on Friday.
