Narrow loss spoils game one for Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks had a full house in the Fiserv Forum and Milwaukee’s Deer District as they lost in a tight game one of the Eastern Conference Finals that was packed with excitement. In the last hurdle before the NBA Championship series, the Bucks are down 1-0 after a 116-113 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Trae Young accomplished a playoff career high 48 points for the Hawks.

Jrue Holiday and Giannis Antetokounmpo both had over thirty points for the Bucks. Holiday had 33 points and Antetokounmpo led the way with 34. The teams exchanged blows for all four quarters. The dramatics in the game escalated when Clint Capela made a go-ahead basket with 29.8 seconds left for the Hawks. Down one, the Bucks kicked the ball out to Pat Connaughton who came up short on a go-ahead three, leaving no option but to foul Trae Young. The Hawks went up three, and the Bucks did not connect on their attempt at a buzzer beater by Khris Middleton.
