With Saturday’s portion of the State Track and Field meet being just for Division 1 qualifiers, teams on the peninsula now shift to summer and fall sports. Sturgeon Bay’s Cate Anderson placed in the 100-meter hurdles that she and fellow Clipper Lauren Alger qualified for. 

Southern Door’s Hailey Shimon cracked the top five in-state for discus. Luxemburg-Casco’s John Larson earned a podium finish in the 300-meter hurdles, and Kewaunee’s Kaaryn Smidel came three seconds from being a state placewinner.
