The Milwaukee Brewers continued their stranglehold on the NL Central with a 2-1 win over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday afternoon while two other local teams lost their games.
Jackie Bradley's RBI ground-out and almost six innings of one-run ball were all the Brewers needed to escape Atlanta with a 2-1 win over the Braves. The team has won 42 of its last 62 games.
The Booyah playing under their Sunday moniker of "the Goats" scored twice in the bottom of eighth but could do no more against the Madison Mallards in a 3-2 loss at Capital Credit Union Park.
The Timber Rattlers only hit four singles in its 3-0 loss against the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
