The Ahnapee Trailblazers saw their season come to a close on Sunday in Antigo at the Class AA American Legion Baseball Tournament.

After falling to Onalaska 13-4 on Saturday, the Trailblazers could not muster a run against River Falls, falling 4-0. The Trailblazers went 1-2 in state tournament play.

Four players will still have an opportunity to play baseball this summer before going in their different directions.  Devin Schinktgen was selected to The American Legion Baseball All-Star Day at American Family Field on Sunday, August 8th in early July. Southern Door alum Schinktgen will suit up for Team Stars. Anthony Jennerjohn (Sturgeon Bay), Luke Steebs (Gibraltar), and Alex Laughlin (Gibraltar) will participate in a pair of All-Star games to be held at Neuroscience Group Field in Grand Chute. Jennerjohn will play for Team Cardinal in the first game at the home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at noon. Laughlin will play on Team White and play against his former teammate Steebs on Team Gray with the first pitch at 2:30 p.m.
