Brewers spilt twinbill with Pirates

The Milwaukee Brewers bounced back from a 14-4 loss to the Pirates with a 6-0 shutout in game two Saturday.  Rookie pitcher Aaron Ashby threw four scoreless innings in the second game to help the Brewers earn the split.

Game one saw the Pirates explode for six runs in the fifth inning to take a commanding 12-4 lead and cruise to the victory.  Bryan Reynolds powered Pittsburg with his 21st home run and four RBIs.

In the nightcap, Rowdy Tellez hit a 455 foot home run and Avisail Garcia hit his 21st home run to propel the Brewers to the win.  Brad Boxberger (5-3) picked up the win in relief.

Milwaukee (71-47)  now has an eight-game lead over Cincinnati in the NL Central and will face the Pirates at noon Sunday for the series finale.
