That gives the Braves a home-field advantage over the Islanders when the two teams meet again next Sunday in the first round of the Door County League baseball playoffs. Institute travels to Sister Bay in the other semi-final. Both games will begin at 1:30 p.m.
The Milwaukee Brewers put up single tallies in the first and third innings and that was all they needed in their 2-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. They will have Tuesday off before flying to St. Louis for a series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
A grand slam helped the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers beat the Great Lakes Loons 8-6 in Grand Chute. The T-Rats will have Monday off before their next six-game series against the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
