As many are tuned in to see 2020 first round draft pick and second-year backup quarterback Jordan Love play in his first preseason, they may have to hold their enthusiasm this Saturday. As Green Bay has participated in joint practices with the New York Jets this week, the two quarterbacks getting prepared for game reps are Kurt Benkert and Jake Dolegala, who was signed this week for his second stint with the Packers this offseason. Packers head coach Matt Lafleur told reporters on Thursday that it’s unlikely Love will play due to a minor shoulder injury. There is no indication as to whether or not Love will play in the preseason finale, which is an August 28th road matchup at Buffalo. The Packers are 0-1 this preseason, having lost 26-7 to Houston on Saturday.
