On day two of the GBD invite at University of Wisconsin Green Bay’s Kress Center, the Phoenix got their first win of the season and then took a loss shortly after. After falling to North Dakota State and Ball State on Friday, UWGB turned around to beat University of St. Thomas in four sets on Saturday afternoon. In the Saturday evening nightcap, UWGB lost in four sets to Northern Iowa. After the tournament, UWGB’s overall record is 1-3. The Phoenix will be back in action on Friday when they open up their Wildcat Classic play in Abilene, Texas. The tournament features two Friday games against University of New Mexico and Texas Southern. On Saturday, UWGB takes on Abilene Christian University.
