Many of the area's Eight-man football teams will get a head start on Labor Day weekend with games Thursday night.

The Gibraltar Vikings head west to Three Lakes Thursday night as they look to go 2-0 on the young football season. Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the pregame show followed by kickoff at 7 p.m.

Other games happening on Thursday include Sevastopol hosting Suring and Algoma playing at home against Wausaukee. Both of those games also start at 7 p.m.
