The Milwaukee Brewers beat the San Francisco Giants 5-2 on Wednesday on a night that Lorenzo Cain shined with two big hits and two runs. In the top of the second inning, Cain hit a single that knocked in two runs, which were the first scores of the game. The Giants fought back in the bottom of the fifth with two runs.
Milwaukee went back on top in the seventh when Jace Pederson hit a single, bringing across Cain. In the 9th inning and with Milwaukee up 3-2, Cain hit a home run that had to be overturned in a Brewers challenge. The Brewers got their final score to go up 5-2 in the ninth inning with a Kolten Wong run, thanks to a Willy Adames double. Milwaukee has now beaten San Francisco in three straight games and go for a fourth time when the two teams meet again on Thursday at 2:45 PM.
In other area baseball action, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers beat the Beloit Snappers 6-5 on Wednesday.
