Now that the training camp gauntlet is finished, the Green Bay Packers will return to work this week after a slight break. The Packers will get their first week of preparation with their 53-man roster that will be heading to Jacksonville for the season opener against the New Orleans Saints on September 12th.. The game was moved to Jacksonville because of damage caused by Hurricane Ida in New Orleans. The Louisiana Superdome is expected to open up later this season. The Packers roster was at 85 for much of the offseason before being trimmed to 80 and then eventually to 53 last week. Next Sunday will be the first road game for the Packers since the 2020 regular season finale in Chicago, which Green Bay won 35-16. Kickoff on Sunday is at 3:25 PM.
