The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans volleyball team went 4-1 in tournament action on Saturday in Green Bay en route to a second-place finish at the Tom Larsen Notre Dame Invitational.

The Spartans were stretched to the limit before eventually beating Xavier 25-19, 18-25, 15-13. They went on to sweep De Pere 26-24, 25-19 and Lakeside Lutheran 25-11, 25-17 in pool play.

In bracket play, the Spartans topped Lakeside Lutheran for a second time 25-20, 25-20 before falling to Brookfield Central in straight sets 25-20 and 25-18.

The Spartans will play again on Thursday at Oconto Falls.
