DC United Swimming hosts Shawano

he Door County United swim team will keep things local for their next meet.

 

The co-op team will face Shawano at the Sturgeon Bay YMCA beginning at 6 p.m. The team has not competed since they dominated their own relays meet on August 26th. 

 

The team scored a total of 96 points with the second-place team, New London, only scoring 60 points. The team was a top-three finisher in 10 out of the 11 events, including 5 first-place finishes. The events with the first-place finishes included the 400 Yard Medley Relay (Phoebe Bisssen (SBHS), Sonya Wienke (SBHS), Molly Hall (SDHS), and Julia Michalski (SBHS)), 300 Yard Breast Relay (Paula Weinke (SBHS), Julia Kurek (SBHS), and Christy Braun (SBHS)), 200 Yard Fly Relay (Caitlyn Hasenjager (SEV), Phoebe Bissen (SBHS), Isabell Jimenez-Seyfer (SBHS)), 750 Yard Free Relay (Cassie Rankin (SEV), Julia Kurek (SBHS), Gaby Moreno (SEV), Caitlyn Hasenjager (SEV)), and the 200 Yard Medley Reverse Relay (Julia Michalski (SBHS), Shambo Wienkie (SBHS), Sonya Wienke (SBHS), and Anika Steinbach (SBHS).
