Clippers Soccer moves on to with convincing win at home

The Sturgeon Bay Soccer team was led by junior Isaac Shulz's hat trick to a 6-0 victory over the Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian Knights.

The Scoring started right away with Schulz scoring in the 8th minute followed by Robert Alas in the 30th minute and the score stood at 2-0 at the half. Coach Maas admitted to making certain adjustments at half to break down the bunker-type defense that the Knights were deploying and the scoring continued. Schulz grabbed his second and third goals over the evening leading to the hat trick (45th, 49th) then Benn Hooker extended the lead in the 51st minute with a lower right corner long-range shot blast. Rounding out the scoring for the Clippers was Sophomore Aldo Rangel in the 68th minute.

The Clippers will be back on the pitch at home this Saturday for the Regional Final game against Peshtigo, who won their game against Clintonville 5-1. That game will be heard on 96.7 WBDK and the NEW Radio Sports Network with pregame at 6:30pm, kickoff at 7pm.
