Phoenix ride miscues to final exhibition victory

The Green Bay Phoenix women's team used 27 turnovers to their advantage to down UW-Platteville 83-48 in their final exhibition contest Wednesday night.

The Phoenix women turned those 27 turnovers into 34 points throughout the night where they never trailed after outscoring the Pioneers 31-10 in the opening quarter. Freshman Maddy Schreiber and Brooklyn Blackburn continued to be difference makers for the Phoenix during the exhibition season.

The Phoenix have off until their regular-season opener in Brookings to face South Dakota State on November 9th. That is also when the Phoenix men will open their regular season with a matchup at the Kress Center against Indiana State to kickoff the Pepsi Tip-Off Series.
