Badger keep rolling with 35-7 win over Northwestern

The Wisconsin Badgers kept their Big Ten West championship hopes alive with a 35-7 rout of the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.

Freshman Braelon  Allen led the Badgers with 173 yards in rushing and three touchdowns, while Graham Mertz threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns as the Badgers cruised to an easy victory.

The Badgers scored 21 points in the second quarter and the Wildcats threw four interceptions over the course of the game to leave little doubt of the final outcome.

Wisconsin's defense held Northwestern to 239 total yards and the Wildcats only scored on a fumble returned for a touchdown by their defense in the fourth quarter.

Wisconsin (7-3, 5-2 Big Ten) will now host Nebraska next Saturday on Senior Day.
