Packers stock to be sold Tuesday

Your chance to become an owner of the Green Bay Packers will come again Tuesday morning.

The organization will offer 300,000 shares at $300 apiece beginning at 8 a.m. Sales are limited to persons in the United States, as well as Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, subject to completing regulatory processes in certain states. You can also only buy up to 200 shares per the team's by-laws.

People buying stock in the Packers should know that they cannot transfer or sell their shares and they will not receive dividends like they would have if they own common stock in a company.

Funds raised through the stock sale can only be used towards stadium and facility improvements. Packers CEO Mark Murphy recently said the team is looking at upgrading its video boards in the near future.
