The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team secured their first win over a Power Five opponent in nearly two years Friday, beating Oklahoma State 57-54 in Las Vegas.
Hailey Oskey led the way with 14 points scored while Sydney Levy chipped in 11 points. The Phoenix nearly saw their double-digit leads disappear twice in the second half only to see their bench fight off the Cowgirls challenge. Friday's victory was coach Kevin Borseth's 750th career win which spans stops at Michigan Tech, Michigan, and two separate stints at UW-Green Bay. The Phoenix return to action in Las Vegas at 3 p.m. when they battle SMU.
The Phoenix men will play at home on Saturday against UW-Superior.
