All of the area's wrestling teams showed grit in their first weekend action of the season on Saturday.

Luxemburg-Casco won five of its matches at the Spartan Duals, beating the likes of Holmen, Bay Port, Oshkosh West, Port Washington, and Sheboygan Falls. Jake Jandrin, Easton Worachek, Blakelee Bastien, Max Ronsman, Trace Schoenebeck, and Ezra Waege all went 5-0 on the day. 

Kewaunee took seventh and Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol took 14th in the Kimberly Papermaker Invitational. The Storm's Logan Steinhorst took third place to lead all local wrestlers. 

Southern Door went 3-2 for a third-place finish in the Stratford Duals on Saturday. Sophomores Mason Motquin, Spencer Slezewski, and Trevor Englebert each went 4-1 and placed second in their weight classes.
