The Wisconsin Badgers football team will look to close the season out strong with a win over the Arizona State Sun Devils in the 2021 Las Vegas Bowl from Allegiant Stadium. 

The Wisconsin Badgers qualified for bowl play by winning 8 games this year, defeating 4 bowl eligible teams in that span. The Badgers also tallied 4 losses on the year, all of which were to teams who made bowl games. Graham Mertz has struggled as the Badgers QB this season, but the defense, along with the emergence of Freshman Braelon Allen has more than made up for the less than stellar offensive season from Mertz. 

Herm Edwards has reached his third bowl game as the coach of the Sun Devils, however this season they have only beat one bowl eligible team (UCLA), and their four losses all came against teams that didn’t qualify for bowl games. If that isn’t worrisome enough for Arizona State, their leading rusher Rachaad White who rushed for 1,006 yards and 15 touchdowns this season has opted out of playing in the Las Vegas Bowl. The Arizona State defense also allows 20.9 points per game which ties them for 20th in the nation. 

Wisconsin has had some issues with positive COVID tests appearing within the program, but as of now it will not prohibit Wisconsin from having enough players to play the game. 

Kickoff is set for 9:30 PM CT from Allegiant Stadium.
