The UW-Green Bay Phoenix men’s basketball team will be traveling to Highland Heights to take on Northern Kentucky as they open Horizon play on Thursday December 30th. The UW-Green Bay Women were also supposed to be in action on Thursday against Detroit, but had their game forfeited.
The Phoenix come in struggling a bit losing their last 4 matchups. The Phoenix have two players that are averaging double digits points per game. Emmanuel Ansong is averaging 12 points per game, and Donovan Ivory is averaging 10 points per game. Ansong is also leading the team in rebounds per game with 5.
Northern Kentucky comes in hoping to avoid their third straight loss, losing their last 2 games to Eastern Kentucky and Indiana. Northern Kentucky is currently led by Trevon Faulkner who is averaging 13 points per game, and Marques Warrick who is averaging 12 points per game.
