The area's four wrestling teams are holding their own at two of the biggest tournaments in the state this weekend.

Kewaunee is leading the local schools at the Lourdes Academy On the Water Wrestling Classic at UW-Oshkosh, starting Thursday's action in 20th place with 84.5 points. Mitchell Thompson is in a position to win a title at 195 pounds after winning his quarterfinal match.

Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol is in 62nd place with 12 points and just three wrestlers competing. Zak Wrobel and Ben Roman each picked up victories.

Southern Door is tied with Menasha in 30th place at OTW with 62 points. Hayden Jeanquart and Brodie Overbeck ended their days with victories.

Luxemburg-Casco finished Wednesday just a half-point behind Minnesota's Zumbrota-Mazeppa in the Division 2 standings at the Bi-State Classic being held at the LaCrosse Center. Caleb Delebreau and Max Ronsman each won their quarterfinal matches while Easton Worachek, Ryan Routhieaux, Hunter Joniaux, and Jake Jandrin will start Thursday in the wrestle back rounds.

More wrestling is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
