Vikings dominate Pioneers on 105.1 The GOAT

The Gibraltar boys’ basketball team traveled to Sevastopol to take on the Pioneers in a Packerland Conference matchup on Saturday January 8th.

The Vikings got out to a hot start scoring the first 6 points of the game off of defensive steals. The Viking offense would not slow down from there, they would end up posting 66 points in the first half including a dunk from senior guard Sam Lindenberg who scored a game high 31 points and took a 43 point lead into the halftime break.

Sevastopol was without leading scorer and rebounder Jack De Young but managed to put up 23 points in the first half. The Pioneers would tighten up the defense coming out of the halftime break and hold Gibraltar to only 26 second half points, but the gap was too big for the Pioneers to close and the Vikings ended up winning 92-44

Gibraltar will next be in action on Tuesday January 11th as they will travel to take on Menominee Michigan. Sevastopol will also play on Tuesday as they travel to take on Reedsville.
