Green Bay soccer fans may be up a creek without a paddle when it comes to supporting a local team.
The Green Bay Voyageurs were excluded from a team announcement on the USL League Two Twitter feed on Wednesday featuring Central Conference teams. The Heartland Division, where the Voyageurs had played the last two seasons, is the only one with an uneven number of teams. The tweet sparked conversation among supporters of the team wondering about the fate of their club.
Wisconsin Soccer Central tweeted that sources have not heard the organization inquiring about joining other leagues and that its Chief Operating Officer Conor Caloia would be making an announcement about the team's future next week.
The Green Bay Voyageurs aren't listed here, and sources said they hadn't heard of the team looking into joining the NPSL, UPSL or MWPL. Via email, Big Top Sports and Entertainment COO Conor Caloia said an announcement about the team's future will be made next week. #wisoccer https://t.co/JoCodAX7Fm

The Voyageurs played at Capital Credit Union Park two of the last three seasons with the 2020 pandemic riddled year the only exception.
