The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans girls basketball will be on the NEW Radio Sports Network Tuesday night, but there was plenty of action already this week in girls basketball.
The Gibraltar girls basketball team held a four-point halftime lead against their county rivals before Sevastopol cruised to a 60-35 win thanks to big second-half performances by Bailey Rikkola, Naomi Rikkola, and Kayla Ranly. They return to the court on Tuesday with Gibraltar heading to Oconto and Sevastopol visiting Sturgeon Bay.
Southern Door fell to Sheboygan Falls at home 55-32.
In addition to the Gibraltar/Oconto and Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol matchups, Algoma travels to Peshtigo, Kewaunee heads to Green Bay to face NEW Lutheran, and Luxemburg-Casco stays at home to play Clintonville. While the Spartans tip-off at 7 p.m. on 96.7 WBDK, the Packerland Conference games will begin at their scheduled 7:30 p.m. times.
