Eagles travel to take on Pioneers on 103.3 The Clipper

The Southern Door boys’ basketball team will be on the road on Friday night as they travel to take on the Sevastopol Pioneers in a Packerland conference contest. 

 

Southern Door (9-8, 7-3) is coming off of a non-conference loss to Luxemburg-Casco in their last outing and are 3-2 in their last five games. This is the second time these two teams are meeting this season, as Southern Door walked away with the first game by a score of 77-64. The Eagles are led by Drew Daoust who is averaging 18 points per game and Taylor Schaefer who is averaging 9 points per game. 

 

The Pioneers (3-13, 0-8) desperately need a win as they have dropped their last twelve consecutive games. Their three wins on the season have come at home and they are looking to get back in the win column at home on Friday night. The Pioneers are led by Jack de Young who is averaging 15 points per game and Manav Jandu who is averaging 9 points per game. 

 

The game will be broadcast on 103.3 The Clipper with Tanner DeGrave and Reece Robillard on the call with pregame set for 7 p.m. followed by tip at 7:30.

 

In other Thursday night action, Luxemburg-Casco blew out Oconto Falls 81-59. Friday's action includes Gibraltar traveling to NEW Lutheran on 105.1 The GOAT, Sturgeon Bay visiting Peshtigo,  and Algoma playing at Oconto.
