Phoenix women pound Colonials, men conclude road trip

The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team limited Robert Morris University to just eight first-half points to a 57-41 win Saturday afternoon.

The Phoenix had balanced scoring up and down its line up with Hailey Oskey leading the team with 10 points and four others scoring at least seven points. The defense stole the show in the first half, limiting the Colonials to a shooting percentage of just 10 percent. The Phoenix led by as much as 28 points at one point, but a late 11-2 run by the Colonials showed they were not going to go back to Pennsylvania without a fight. The Phoenix would not allow the Colonials to get closer than 13 points the rest of the way as they were able to hold a double-digit lead for all but four minutes of the game.

The Phoenix men will conclude their road trip Sunday at 1 p.m. when they travel to IPFW to battle the Mastodons. They are still looking for their first road win of the season.
