Three first-period goals set the tone for what ended up being a 7-1 victory for the Green Bay Gamblers over the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders Thursday night.

Ryan Greene and Matt Deboer made sure no one talked about Bruno Buveris after nine minutes of play after he was chased with two goals in as many shots. John Mittelstadt scored the third goal at the 17-minute mark of the first to stake the Gamblers.

After Brody Lamb scored a single tally in the second period, Cameron Lund stretched it to a five-goal lead before Cedar Rapids finally got on the board. Jared Crespo and Owen Murray finished off what was a forgettable night for RoughRiders goaltender who made 18 saves on 24 shots. Aaron Randazzo made 38 saves on 39 shots for the Gamblers.
