It has come down to the final week for the Packerland Conference title as Southern Door makes the trip south to Kewaunee Monday night.
The first matchup between these two teams saw the Storm extend their slim one point half time advantage to win 62-56 over the Eagles in Brussels back on January 18th. Both teams have played great in the weeks since as the Storm and the Eagles are both a half-game behind 12-3 Peshtigo.
The Eagles have gotten here by not losing a conference game since that matchup against the Storm, including Friday's 58-50 win over Gibraltar that saw Drew Daoust once again break the 20 point barrier. The Eagles were rewarded for their recent winning streak by drawing potentially two home games with New Holstein next Tuesday and potentially the winner of Denmark/Two Rivers on that Friday.
The Storm was in first place before they lost to Peshtigo 70-60 last week and now are looking up at Peshtigo with one less win and the same number of losses. Ben Heim is averaging 17.6 points per game while Cameron Cullen is just a hair under 15 on the season.
The game will be broadcast on 104.1 WRLU and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 7 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7:30 p.m.
Other Packerland Conference games scheduled for Monday include Algoma hosting Gresham, Sevastopol playing at NEW Lutheran, and Sturgeon Bay traveling to Gibraltar for a game on 105.1 The GOAT.
