The Gibraltar Vikings girls' basketball team looks to go on a run in the WIAA Division 5 Playoffs on Wednesday when they battle Florence.
The Vikings registered just one win this season, but their ever-growing experience has led them to be playing some of the best basketball they have played all year. They beat Sturgeon Bay and narrowly lost to Algoma in the final conference game of the season before their legs caught up to them in their matchup against Coleman on Saturday. Andie Schar has seen her scoring output increase to over 10 points a game while players like Mikayla Gorham have proven to put up big numbers herself when needed.
The Bobcats went 15-7 on the year, but lost their final three conference games of the season before beating Niagara in their season finale. All eyes will be on Isabella Millan who is averaging 23 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists a game to lead the Bobcats in all categories.
