Gibraltar opens tournament run against Suring on 105.1 The GOAT

The Gibraltar Vikings boys' basketball team begin their journey to Madison on Tuesday with a WIAA Division 5 playoff matchup against Suring.

 

The Vikings have won nine of their last eleven games, including a 76-41 win against Algoma to close out the regular season last Thursday. The big men for the Vikings exploited the smaller Wolves team in the victory with Trevor Ash scoring 24 points and Will Friedenfels adding 14 points. Sam Lindenberg leads the team in scoring with 20.4 points and 4.2 assists per game.

 

The Eagles finished near the bottom of the Marinette & Oconto Conference with 5-11 mark, finishing with an overall record of 6-18. They have lost their last four games including a 54-41 defeat at the hands of Gillett last week to close out the regular season. The Eagles are led by Ethan Lally, who averages 13.1 points per game.

 

Bryan Mazur and Reece Robillard will be on the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by the opening tip at 7 p.m.
