Injured early in the second half of Wisconsin’s lost to Nebraska on Sunday, Johnny Davis is expected to return to action on Friday in time for the Badgers’ quarterfinal Big Ten Conference Tournament game. Davis said on Tuesday that he suffered a sprained ankle and should be ready for games this weekend.
Davis was injured driving to the basket and landing awkwardly after a flagrant foul by Nebraska’s Trey McGowens. He was named to the All-American team and fist team All-Big Ten. #12 ranked Wisconsin, co-champs in the Big Ten, receives a double-bye in this weekend’s tournament and will play Friday in Indianapolis.
