Gibraltar looks to make first state tournament on 105.1 The GOAT

The Gibraltar Vikings could do something no other team in program history has done when they play Columbus Catholic in Pulaski Saturday night.

The Vikings finish strong in the second half to beat Three Lakes 58-40 in the WIAA Division Five sectional semi-final against Three Lakes in Elcho Thursday night. Sam Lindenberg scored a game-high of 27 points to lead the Vikings. Braden Sitte added eight points and Trevor Ash chipped in five points with a dunk to cap off the scoring. It was only the second appearance in sectionals since 1974.

Columbus Catholic looks to qualify for their third appearance in the state tournament since 2017. Sam Wilczek and Grant Olson scored 15 points while their team's leading scorer Emmitt Konieczny added 14 in Columbus Catholic beat Newman Catholic 65-59 in Wisconsin Rapids.
