Green Bay falls to Minnesota in WNIT opener

Minnesota outscored Green Bay 27-13 in the fourth quarter to escape the Kress Center with a 73-65 victory.

The  Phoenix held a two-point lead at halftime and were able to extend it in the third quarter, but the Golden Gophers ended the game on a 12-3 run to keep the Phoenix winless in their WNIT history.  Sydney Levy's 20 points led the Phoenix while Hailey Oskey and Maddy Schreiber each had 13 points in the loss. The Phoenix simply had no answer for Sara Scalia, who led all scorers with 33 points.

The young Phoenix squad saw their season come to a crushing end, ending the year with a 19-8 overall  record.
