D'Backs bite Brewers in the desert

For a second consecutive day, a Milwaukee Brewers ace got shelled in spring training action as they went onto lose to the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-3.

Brandon Woodruff gave up six hits and four runs in his three innings of work as he tries to get his arm ready for when the regular season starts next month. Brent Suter gave up a pair of runs in his 1 2/3 innings, but Josh Hader followed that up with 1-2-3 sixth inning with three strikeouts.

A second-inning RBI double by Pablo Reyes and a pair of sixth-inning homers by David Dahl and Jon Singleton represented the Brewers offense on Thursday while the Diamondbacks' Eduardo Diaz and Alek Thomas led the way with three RBIs.

The Brewers will play at 3:05 p.m. against the Oakland A's.
