Bucks lose to Mavs in Sunday matinee

With the state semifinalist Gibraltar Vikings looking on, the Milwaukee Bucks could not hold onto a first-quarter lead as they fell to the Dallas Mavericks 118-112 at Fiserv Forum.

The Bucks entered the second quarter with an eight-point advantage, but the Mavericks outscored the champs 32-22 in the second quarter and didn't look back the rest of the way. The Bucks would make a comeback in the fourth quarter, but Luka Doncic took over the game for the Mavs as he scored five points and assisted on two three pointers to extend a one-point lead to eight with just minutes to go. Doncic would lead the Mavericks with 32 points, eight rebounds, and 15 assists on the afternoon. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks with 28 points with  Jrue Holiday adding 20 points in the loss. Khris Middleton scored 11 points and provided nine assists.
