Three unanswered goals in the third period ruined the Green Bay Gamblers' chances at a road win as the Chicago Steel won Friday night 5-2.
The two teams traded goals in the first two periods with the Cameron Lund-from-Brody Lamb connection providing the offense for the Gamblers. Each time, the Steel would answer mere minutes later. It was the third period that did the Gamblers in with Joe Miller registering the game winner and Nicholas Moldenhauer scoring the empty netter to put the game out of reach. Aaron Randazzo stopped 27 of 31 shots.
The two teams face each other again Saturday night in Geneva, Ill. at 7:05 p.m.
