Brewers look to prevent sweep on Sunday

The Milwaukee Brewers will need Freddy Peralta to right the ship Sunday after the team lost their second straight to the Chicago Cubs Saturday 9-0.

The Brewers' batters were largely silent against the Cubs with Andrew McCutchen, Wily Adames, Christian Yelich, Kolten Wong all registering hits. Brandon Woodruff took the loss as he gave up seven runs in just short of four innings. He walked three and hit two Cubs batters to set up the poor outing. Tempers flared in the latter innings as McCutchen and Yelich got beaned after Brewers pitchers pegged three earlier in the game. One of those players hit was Ian Happ who had two RBI, two hits, and three runs scored before he had to be taken out of the game because he got hit in the knee with a pitch. Seiya Suzuki had three runs batted in and Patrick Wisdom also knocked in a pair in the Cubs victory.

The finale is set for 1:20 p.m. with Peralta facing Marcus Stroman.
