Brewers salvage Wrigley finale

A seventh-inning homer gave the Milwaukee Brewers their first win of the season, beating the Chicago Cubs 5-4.

 

Seiya Suzuki made it 3-0 Cubs in the first inning when slammed a home run against Freddy Peralta, but the Brewers would fight back. Home runs by Willy Adames and Rowdy Tellez would give the Brewers a 4-3 lead entering the bottom half of the sixth inning. After the Cubs stole a run on a wild pitch, pinch hitter Mike Brosseau took Daniel Norris deep to win the game for the Brewers in the seventh inning. Josh Hader would close the door on the Cubs two innings later to prevent the sweep.

 

The Brewers headed to Baltimore after the game to play in 2:05 game against the Orioles Monday afternoon.
