Fighting Saints cruise past Gamblers on 104.1 WRLU

The Dubuque Fighting Saints scored eight goals in the first two periods en route to a 9-4 win over the Green Bay Gamblers Friday night at the Resch Center.

Brody Lamb and Peter Kramer tallied goals in the first period for the Gamblers, but they were matched by Tristan Lemyre, who along with Max Burkholder gave the visitors a 3-2 lead at the intermission.

Former Gambler Jackson Hallum kicked off the five-goal second period for the Fighting Saints to all put the game away early. Luke Weilandt provided the lone highlight of the period with a goal at 9:27.

Peter Kramer scored a goal in the final 15 seconds of the game, but that only got the Gamblers to within five goals at the end. With no Aaron Randazzo in the lineup, Cam Smith took his second loss of the season, making 36 saves on 45 shots.

The Gamblers head west to face Dubuque Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
