It took overtime to do it, but the Green Bay Blizzard won its first game Saturday night, beating the Massachusetts Pirates 38-31.
It took a big comeback to do it as the Blizzard were down 23-10 entering the fourth quarter. Jack Sheehan ran for two scores and threw another in the fourth quarter to force the extra stanza. Sheehan ended up rushing in from one yard out to score the eventual game-winner. The Blizzard defense held on for the win by turning away two straight passing plays. Sheehan scored five touchdowns on the day including three on the ground.
The Blizzard will look to make it two in a row next Sunday when they host the Vegas Night Hawks at 3:05 p.m.
