Cam Smith is getting a rude introduction to the USHL as he and the Green Bay Gamblers dropped their second straight game to the Dubuque Fighting Saints 7-2.
Gregory Spitznagel tied the game at one for the Gamblers with just over 90 seconds remaining in the first period. That was the end of the offense until the third period while the Fighting Saints filled the gap with six unanswered goals. Kent Anderson would stop the bleeding with a goal at the 11-minute mark in the third period. Connor Kurth scored four points including two goals to lead the Fighting Saints.
The Gamblers will conclude their season next weekend with a home-and-home against the Madison Capitols. NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com and 104.1 WRLU will carry the Saturday game at 7 p.m.
