Baseball round-up: Brewers win, local teams in action

Local high school teams hope they get to play on Tuesday while the Milwaukee Brewers want the wins to keep coming.

Games were canceled Monday thanks to a wintry mix occuring throughout the day. Some of those games were moved to Tuesday in order to get them in, especially since many of them were conference games. Tuesday's slate includes Kewaunee hosting NEW Lutheran (4:30 p.m.), Algoma traveling to Peshtigo (5 p.m.), and Luxemburg-Casco visiting Little Chute (4:30 p.m.)

In MLB action, Christian Yelich hit a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth inning to extend a 2-1 lead to a 6-1 final. Kolten Wong scored two runs in the game after taking home on a wild pitch in the first inning. Eric Lauer sparkled in his outing, allowing just a solo homer in six innings of work where he registered five strikeouts.
