The Green Bay Gamblers will enter the offseason on a high note after winning in front of over 4,400 fans 4-2 against the Madison Capitols.
Owen Murray sent the fur flying with a goal just over four minutes into the first period, sending thousands of bears onto the ice.
John Mittelstadt scored a goal in the final minute of the period to make it 2-0 heading into the intermission. After the Capitols got onto the scoreboard, the Gamblers quickly made it a three-goal game with Matt Deboer and Luke Weilandt tallying scores in the second period. Tyler Haskins scored the final goal of the game and his second of the contest for the Capitols.
Aaron Randazzo made 25 saves on 27 shots. The Gamblers' season ends with a 23-34-3-2. It also gave Pat Mikesch a win in his final game as Gamblers head coach.
