Kewaunee boys win Oconto Falls, L-C take second at own track meet

The area's seven track teams posted impressive results at two different track meets on Thursday.

 

The Kewaunee boys track team posted 155 points to win the boys' division at the Oconto Falls Invitational. On the girls' side,  Kewaunee took 7th and Algoma was 8th to lead the local teams. Algoma's Morgan Mattson and Kewaunee's Cameron Cullen, Issac Schlies, Lisa Reinke, Cole Pawlitzsky, and the Boys 4x800m Relay all won their events.

 

In Luxemburg, the Luxemburg-Casco girls' team was the top performing team with 141 points to take second. Their boys team took fourth in their division with 121 points. The meet also featured Sevastopol, Gibraltar, and Southern Door. L-C's Logan Vandermause, Spencer Thiry, John Larson, Girls 4x100m Relay, Girls 4x200m, Taylor Thiry, Grace Holschuh, Isaac VandenBush, and George Neville, Gibraltar's Nida Zukauskaite, and Southern Door's Danica Neville all won events.

Sturgeon Bay will face off against several teams at St. Norbert College Friday with the first events beginning at 3 p.m.
