The Door County Baseball League kicks off Sunday with four games throughout the county starting at 1:30 pm. Egg Harbor Indians will host the Institute Cubs, Baileys Harbor A’s host Washington Island Islanders, Maplewood Mets host the Sister Bay Bays and West Jacksonport Ports will host the Kolberg Braves.
The season wrapped up last year with Sister Bay taking the regular-season championship. In post-season action, Kolberg beat out Washington Island to advance to the post-season championship game. When Sister Bay took out Institute, it was Kolberg at Sister Bay for the final game of the season. Kolberg captured the post-season championship title, upsetting Sister Bay with a 5-1 win.
